What are some tips you would offer fellow students to stay healthy?

Firstly, I would encourage them to take good care of themselves and do not come to school until they have fully recovered. If they come to school now, they will run the risk of spreading the virus to everyone they come into contact with. It is better to rest well first and forget about studies until one has recovered. One will feel even more sickly if he/she comes to school as the conditions of staying at home is much better than school. Although when one comes back to school and realises that he/she has missed out on alot of subjects, one should put in the extra effort to catch up. But still one should just do so as it is for ones own good.

Secondly, if you are not sick, one should maintain a clean standard of living. You do not want to fall sick at this period of time. Doctors will suspect you have a case of H1N1 and you will have to go through a tough and boring process to find out whether you have a case of H1N1. Being clean is important. Here are some tips to be more cautious. One, use the 7-step washing technique when washing your hands. Two, wash your hands before and after eating. Three, always cough or sneeze into a piece of tissue paper. There are many more important tips and one should bear these in mind.

To summarize, we should all maintain a good standard of hygiene. If you feel ill or have a fever, visit a doctor. It is everyone’s responsibility to contain the spread of viruses.

What are your thoughts about home learning? Is it more effective than learning in school?

I feel that home learning is a good and effective way to let us continue learning at home. During these health crises, we may not be able to go to school and thus cannot learn anything. Thus home learning is a good and effective way where students can continue learning at home even at such a crisis, thus I feel that home learning is good and effective.

However, I feel that home learning has some disadvantages compared to learning in school. In between working on home learning, students may tend to sneak of and play games on the browser unnoticed. And students may also copy work from one another. These few cannot happen if one is studying in school.

As for advantages, students do not need to wake up so early in the morning to get to school. Students can also do research on the computer instead of having things printed out for them in school. Students also do not need to carry a heavy bag. The most important objective of home learning is that sick people will not have to come to school so as to minimize spreading of the virus as well as learn at the same time.

Thus, I feel that during such times, home learning is not only important, but also good to us in ensuring that we contain the virus and study at the same time.
